Kvalsund is a village in the municipality of Herøy in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located on the island Nerlandsøy. The village of Kvalsvik lies about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) northwest of the village. Kvalsund is the 582nd largest populated place in Norway with a population of 524 (2012).
