Kyoto Energy
Kyoto Energy is a Nairobi-based renewable energy company, providing solar-driven utilities for developing countries.
Kyoto Energy was founded in Norway in 2006 by the Norwegian inventor Jon Bøhmer, and has had its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya since 2008.
In 2009, Kyoto Energy won the Financial Times Climate Challenge Award for the Kyoto Box, a groundbreaking new concept for a solar cooker.
