LAN Express

LAN Express (Transporte Aéreo S.A.) is an airline based in Santiago, Chile. It is Chile's second airline, as a subsidiary of LAN Airlines, and operates some domestic and a few international routes for its parent. The brand was merged into LAN Airlines in 2004, but LAN Airlines still operate some domestic flights using the code of LAN Express. Its main base is Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, Santiago.[1]
History
The airline was formerly known as Ladeco and established in September 1958. Ladeco was acquired by LAN Chile in August 1995 following the approval of the Chilean Antimonopolies Board. In October 1998 LAN Chile merged Ladeco with Fast Air.[1]

LAN Express operated the following services (at January 2005):[2]
- Domestic scheduled destinations: Antofagasta, Arica, Balmaceda, Calama, Concepción, Copiapó, El Salvador, Iquique, La Serena, Osorno, Pucon, Puerto Montt, Punta Arenas, Santiago, Temuco and Valdivia.
