Louisiana Highway 38 (LA 38) is a 48.64-mile-long (78.28 km) east–west state highway in Louisiana that serves Saint Helena, Tangipahoa, and Washington parishes, extending from LA 10 to LA 430.[1]

Route description
The highway begins at LA 10 northwest of Greensburg, and heads northeast until intersecting LA 432 at which point it turns east. As it goes eastward, LA 38 makes an intersection with LA 43, and LA 441 also intersects with the highway for a short time. As the highway enters Tangipahoa Parish, it intersects with Interstate 55, LA 1051, and U.S. Route 71 in the city of Kentwood. Also in Tangipahoa Parish, LA 1054 makes an intersection with it before entering Washington Parish. Once there, LA 450 travels concurrent with the highway until it travels concurrent with a left-turning LA 1055, as LA 450 changes direction north where LA 38 was when it was combined. At Mount Hermon, LA 438 empties into the highway, while later on, LA 1055 turns east, leaving LA 38 southeast. As it intersects with LA 25, the highway ends at LA 430 near Bayou Chitto.
