L. Nageswara Rao

Nageswara Rao is a senior advocate and former Additional Solicitor General of India. He primarily practices primarily at the Supreme Court of India. He served as an ASG from August 8, 2003[1] till his resignation in 2004, from August,2013 to May,2014[2] and from June 7 to December 15, 2014. He was also a member of the Supreme Court-appointed Mudgal Committee headed by Justice Mukul Mudgal and comprising senior advocate and former cricket umpire Nilay Dutta as the other member. The committee is tasked with conducting an independent inquiry into allegations of corruption, betting and spot-fixing in Indian Premier League matches.[3][4]

Early life

He hails from Pedanandipadu in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh.[5]
