Pandit Lako bodra (19 September 1919, Paseya, Jharkhand state, India – 29 June 1986) was the creator of the writing known variously as Varang kshiti script. Varang kshiti is known as Ho alphabet in India and used for writing the Ho language.[1] .

Early life

Pandit Lako Bodra was born on 19 September 1919 in Paseya village,Khutpani Block,West Singhbhum,Jharkhand to a humble and religious family of Lebeya and Jano Bodra.Lako Bodra start his primary education from Bachom Hatu primary school.After completing his primary school he took admission in Purueya primary school.In Purueya he complete his 8th class then his parent send him to his maternal uncles home in Chakradharpur. In Chakradharpur he took admission in Grammer High School in 9th class.After completing his 9th class he been to Chaibasa for further studies.He took admission in Matriculation in District High School,Chaibasa. There he complete his Matriculation. After completing Matriculation he moved to Jalandhar, Punjab by the help of Jaipal Singh for further education and attended Jalandhar city college where he graduated in Homeopathy.

Professional life and Varang kshiti


After completing his education he come back to home.Then he got a job in Indian Railways as a clerk and posted in Danguwapasi. During his job in railways he invented Varang kshiti alphabets. For spreading the Varang kshiti he made Adi samaj(Dupub Huda) in jodapokhar, Jhinkpani by help of Mr Mahati Bandara. Adi samaj meetings are happen in a home of ACC cement plant colony in Jhinkpani. Near by village people are come to the adi samaj to literate in Varang kshiti.
