Lakshminarayanapuram village

Lakshminarayanapuram village is situated in Palakkad district in Kerala, India.


This village is gifted with amazing surroundings, people and importantly the culture and heritage centered at its two temples - Gopalakrishna temple and Nagasubramania temple. As this centuries old temple has thrived with the success of people in various walks of life, it celebrates every year with its famous Ratholsavam and Thaipoosam festivals. Most recently in 2013 the temple brought back its Ratham which it had sold to Kalpathy Viswanatha temple in 1972. This Ratham is considered to be the biggest and heaviest among all the villages in Palakkad, Kerala.

During April 2016, the village is planning its Kumbabhishekam in the two temples. This is considered to be the biggest cultural festival in every 14 years. The last Kumbabhishekam in these temples were held in May 2001.
