Largs Academy is a Scottish secondary school, opened in August 1970, serving the towns of Largs, Fairlie, Skelmorlie and the island of Cumbrae, as well as taking placement requests from across Scotland, from places such as Beith and Renfrewshire. As of March 7 2014, Largs Academy is ranked 36 place out of the top 50 best schools in Scotland for Exam Results.
Senior Management team
As of August 2012, the headteacher is Mrs Heather Burns. She is currently followed by three deputy head teachers, Mrs H McClelland, Mr A MacDougall and Mrs A Anderson. The previous Headteacher, Arthur Jones, retired at the end of the 2011/2012 session after nine years as Headteacher.

Largs Academy has six feeder schools, St. Mary's Primary School, Brisbane Primary School, Cumbrae Primary School, Fairlie Primary School, Kelburn Primary School and Skelmorlie Primary School. Also, the majority of children from Beith and Renfrewshire attend Largs Academy instead of the surrounding academies.
