Larissa Almeida Reis[2] (born May 21, 1979) is a Brazilian International Federation of BodyBuilders (IFBB) professional figure competitor, fitness model, actress and restaurateur.

Early life and education

Reis was born in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil. She has a degree in Tourism and Hotel Management.[3]

Career

While a college student, Reis modeled part-time and her body caught the attention of Playboy Brazil; in 2003 she was chosen to be a playmate. Following this, Reis signed with a supplement company to work as a fitness model. There, she got the desire to compete as a figure athlete.

She earned an IFBB membership[4] in 2007 at the IFBB World Championships and moved to the United States.

Reis is sponsored by Nutrex Research,[5] Suits by Amy, Pro Tan,[6] Cyclone Cup,[7] Labellamafia, Skullcandy and 6 Pack Fitness.

Reis was the first Brazilian person to ever win a Pro Show in the United States (Atlantic City 2009, pro figure).[8]

Reis has been featured on the covers of Iron Man Magazine, Muscular Development,[9] Planet Muscle,[9] and Flex Magazine.

Reis opened a restaurant, Protein House, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her restaurant was featured in Food Network's Mystery Diners.[10]

Personal life

She now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. She trains at Gold's Gym.[12] Reis describes herself as a "spiritual person," and as a Buddhist.[11]
