Larraín family
The Larraín family is a rich, powerful and influential Chilean family of Basque origin. Their members include prominent politicians and businessmen.
Family origins
The first Larraín to set foot in Chile was the president of the Royal Audience of Quito Santiago Larraín Vicuña in the 17th century.
The family stem from two branches: Santiago de Larraín Vicuña and Martín José de Larraín Vicuña, nephew of the former.
