Lawrence Allen Shyatt (born April 8, 1951) was previously head coach at Wyoming in the 1997–98 season, the head coach at Clemson University from 1998 to 2003 and returned as head coach to Wyoming in 2011.[1][2] He also previously served as an assistant coach at the University of Florida. Larry Shyatt reached his first NCAA Tournament as a head coach in the 2014-2015 season. On March 21, 2016, Shyatt resigned as head coach of the Cowboys after six seasons at the helm.[3]
Early life and education
Shyatt graduated from the College of Wooster in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in physical education and the University of Akron in 1975 with a master's in secondary education.[4] At Wooster, Shyatt played on the varsity basketball team from 1970 to 1972.[5][6]
