Last Lungs are a five piece Post-rock band from Preston, England.
Last Lungs' music typically consists of clean, interwoven guitar lines, with complex interplay between the band's three guitarists, slow-building crescendos and romantic lyricism. Last Lungs cite bands American Football, Owls and The Six Parts Seven as influence.

History

Last Lungs comprise members Liam Burbridge (bass), Sean Doherty (guitar/vocals), Nathan Entwistle (drums), Joe Greenhalgh (guitar/vocals) and Billy Morris (guitar).

In 2008, the band went on a full UK tour with fellow Preston-based band Capulet. The 9-day tour, commenced in Sheffield and ended with a sold-out show in Last Lung's native Preston. During the tour, 100 hand-made mini CD's were put on sale, featuring recently recorded tracks, 33½ and Kaleidoscope.

In 2010, Last Lungs signed to US label Deep Elm Records. Their debut album was released digitally on 3 August 2010.

Last Lungs have played with bands including; Brontide, Flood of Red, The Besnard Lakes, Caspian, Cinemechanica, Land of Talk and This Will Destroy You.
