Laura Fjeld
Laura Fjeld (née Bernstein) is a North Carolina attorney and the Democratic nominee for the U.S. House of Representatives in North Carolina's 6th congressional district in the 2014 election.[1] She won the nomination in the Democratic primary on May 6, 2014.[2]
From 2008 through 2013, Fjeld served as vice president and general counsel for the University of North Carolina system.[3] Earlier, she spent almost three decades as a lawyer for various firms and as a state-certified mediator.[4]
Education
Fjeld attended Bryn Mawr College, graduating in 1976 with a degree in History and Political Philosophy. Fjeld later earned her J.D. at the UC Berkeley School of Law, graduating in 1981.[5]
