Laura K. Ipsen is an American businesswoman.[1][2][3]

Biography

Early life

Laura Ipsen graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in International Relations.[3] She studied Arabic at Yarmouk University in Irbid, Jordan.[3]

Career

She served as Vice President of Global Policy and Government Affairs at Cisco Systems from October 2001 to August 2007, Senior Vice President of Global Policy and Government Affairs from September 2007 to September 2009, and Senior Vice President and General Manager of Smart Grid from October 2009 to November 2010, and eventually as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Cisco System's Connected Energy Networks.[1] She now serves as Corporate Vice President of Microsoft's Worldwide Public Sector organization.[2]

She sits on the Board of Directors of Monsanto since December 2010.[1][2] She is a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum in the Silicon Valley.[2]

Personal life

She is married, and has three children.[3] They live in Northern California.[3]
