Aashish Rana (born June 25, 1989) is a Nepalese rapper and actor popular by his stage name – Laure. He presented his rapping via a rap battle presented on YouTube which gained him popularity. He was the most searched for Nepalese celebrity on Google in the year 2013.^[1]

Personal life

Aashish Rana was born on June 25, 1989 in Pokhara, Nepal. He was attracted to singing since he was in grade 6. He completed his school life from LA Higher Secondary School. He started his career from mobile recording. His song Mero Solta was the first song which he recorded on mobile and uploaded on YouTube. His voice was popular since that upload. He completed his higher education from Sagarmatha College.^[1] His mates thought much of his looks and his physical appearance as that of an army thereby giving him the name “Laure”.^[2]
