Laurie Stirratt

Laurie Stirratt is a co-founder of the alt-country/roots rock band, Blue Mountain, in which she played bass guitar, occasionally rhythm guitar and sang harmony with her ex-husband, Cary Hudson. Blue Mountain was formed in 1991 in Los Angeles but moved back to Oxford, MS in later that year. The duo were formerly of The Hilltops, an Oxford, Mississippi band formed in 1988 by John Stirratt (Wilco), Cary Hudson and Laurie Stirratt. Laurie also played bass and recorded with Tyler Keith and the Preachers Kids. She released in 2004 an album as Laurie & John duo with her twin brother, John Stirratt of Wilco. She was also a member of Healthy White Baby along with Danny Black of alt-country band The Blacks.

Laurie is also the current owner/chef of Tallulah's Kitchen in Oxford, MS where she serves up southern food as well as Cajun.[1]
