Lawrence Jackson (priest)
The Very Rev Lawrence Jackson AKC (22 March 1926 -15 November 2002) was an eminent Anglican priest in the 20th century.[1] A Yorkshireman, he was educated at King's College London and ordained in 1951.[2] He was a Curate at St Margaret's Church, Leicester and then Vicar of Wymeswold. After further incumbencies at St James the Greater, Leicester and Holy Trinity, Coventry [3] he was appointed Provost of Blackburn in 1973.[4] He retired in 1992 and died a decade later.
