Learning Alliance is a private, coeducational institution located in Lahore and Faisalabad, Pakistan. Founded in 1996 as Lahore Preschool, the school has since expanded to Middle and Senior school under the Cambridge International Examination board, and the International Baccalaureate (IB). It is one of the first schools in Lahore to have introduced IB education to the school curriculum, since the introduction of the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and more recently, the Primary Years Programme (PYP). Approximately 2,500 full-time learners are currently enrolled across 4 campuses.the school is small.it is in phase 8 just next to a very big school.

Campuses

Classes offered at Lahore Preschool (LPS) Gulberg range from Playgroup (age 2-2.5) to Preparatory (age 4.5-5.5). Given its proximity, graduates from Lahore Preschool are automatically transferred to the Aziz Avenue campus for continued studies in Class 1 (Aitchison Applicants in Preparatory) above. However, parents may submit transfer requests for children to begin junior school at another campus, provided seats are available. Upon parental request, LPS Gulberg also offers the preparatory program for applicants to the Convent of Jesus & Mary. Due to the selectivity of such a program, students are divided into sections of 10-12 students, and prepared for the admission test to Convent. The independent campus is built on approximately one acre of land in central Gulberg, Lahore. Facilities include; a purpose built children’s swimming pool, indoor and outdoor playgrounds and a baby gym for yoga and physical education. While uniform is not imposed at the Preschool level, parents are encouraged to follow a dress code that prioritizes comfort and ease of movement for the children. Jewelry, accessories and elaborate clothing that may prove hazardous or difficult to manage is not permitted.

Aziz Avenue is the only campus to offer multiple classes in the Blue Stream; a program that prepares boys for Aitchison College. Students in the Blue Stream at DHA (Preparatory) and LPS Gulberg (Montessori II) must transfer to Aziz Avenue in order to continue studies in the program. Classes I to VIII in the Cambridge International Examination (CIE) programme are also currently offered, and the campus is expected to induct CIE O Level classes in 2016/2017.The main campus building is a renovated/converted bungalow of Victorian Architecture built atop 2 acres of land adjacent to Canal Bank Road Lahore. The structure features several individual suites and verandahs, as well as an independent canal and well irrigation system. The original building has been preserved to a large extent, the original teak wood doors, windows and fireplaces have been conserved and rooms have been converted into offices. A new School Block has been added, where once stood servant quarters there are now classrooms. A swimming pool and amphitheatre have also been built on the premises.

Established in January 2009 as the administrative head office, the DHA campus is home to Lahore Preschool and Learning Alliance under one roof and offers classes from Playgroup to A Level. Students in all campuses who wish to graduate from Learning Alliance are eventually transferred to DHA for continuation in the Cambridge International Examination A Level program. The International Baccalaureate Middle years Program (MYP), a candidate school, was established in August 2013 and Primary Years programme (PYP), also a candidate school, was introduced in August 2014. Classes offered in IB are PYP I (Class I) to MYP IV (Class IX).The flagship campus is built across approximately 5 acres in Phase VIII, DHA Lahore and features 3 main blocks for Lahore Preschool, Junior School and Senior School/IB each. Outdoor facilities on campus include a cafeteria, two swimming pools, football field, basketball court, badminton/volleyball courts, senior and junior school laboratories and outdoor jungle gyms and play areas in the preschool block. Additional recreational facilities are located in the basement and school grounds.

Established in 2010, Lahore Preschool and Learning Alliance Faisalabad is a structure of approximately 2 acres located on East Canal Road, Faisalabad. Currently, classes offered range from Playgroup to OI in the CIE programme. Additional senior classes in the CIE curriculum will be introduced with each consecutive year. The original school building has been largely renovated and expanded to accommodate the Junior School block and indoor/outdoor facilities. On campus facilities include multiple media and science laboratories, swimming pool, football field, basketball court, indoor and outdoor gym in the Preschool block and cafeteria.

School Structure and Houses

The Learning Alliance Student Body is served by the Student Council, a series of elected and selected representatives, who preside over various activities and events. At the head of the student body are the Head Boy and Head Girl, two senior students appointed by the School Board. Next in line is the General Secretary of the Student Council, an elected position given to a student of Class X or above, and the Treasurer, responsible for organizing and keeping track of the council’s budget for student affairs and events.Upon enrolment or promotion into senior school (Class VI above), each student is placed into one of four "houses": Sphinx, Pegasus, Titans and Griffin. At the head of each house is the House Master/Mistress, a teacher or staff member responsible for monitoring student conduct, organizing inter-house competitions, checking uniform and providing guidance and support to their students. Below the House Master are the House Captain and Vice-Captain, students of class X and above who are elected by the rest of the house members. House Captains work with the Master/Mistress to enforce discipline and lead the house through competitions. Throughout the year, the houses compete in both academic and athletic competitions to earn "house points". At the end of the year, during the annual ‘Proclamation Day’ event, a winner is announced. House points are earned during specific organized events during each term.

Societies

Clubs and Societies are usually founded and operated by students, who receive a budget from the student council and raise funds at events. Each society has a president, an elected position reserved for a senior student and a Patron of the society, usually a teacher or staff member responsible for organizing society events, guiding students through policy and accompanying them to external club related competitions and activities.
