Lee Harrington (born 28 November 1979) is a sexuality and spirituality educator, author, and artist, currently based in Anchorage, Alaska. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, he began transitioning from his assigned gender of female to his actual gender of male, in 2007.

Author and educator

Lee Harrington has had his writing and poetry appear in numerous magazines, anthologies, and books on the subjects of rope bondage, ageplay, spirituality, transgender rights, paganism and erotica. Two of his books, Shibari You Can Use and Playing Well With Others, have won the National Leather Association International's Geoff Mains Non-fiction book award for 2007 and 2012.[1]

He has taught at universities, colleges, BDSM conferences, sacred sexuality events, LGBT and transgendered resource groups, and one-on-one intensives since 1999. He has designed and presented keynote speeches,[2][3] lecture-based classes, participatory workshops, learning rituals and stage performances across North America, New Zealand,[4] Australia,[5] Germany and England.

Online, Lee Harrington maintains a monthly podcast with Erotic Awakening,[6] and works as an online educator for Kink Academy.[7] He has also appeared on a wide variety of podcasts in guest appearances[8][9][10] and as an erotic storyteller, both on podcasts,[11] and live.[12]

Model and photographer

From 1999 to 2006, Harrington was an adult film actor, pornographer, and sex blogger. He placed in the 2005 SIGNY Award for Best Bondage Model, and appeared on more than 70 adult websites (including Kink.com), various television appearances (such as Playboy's Sexcetera), and in a variety feature-length adult films.[13][14] In addition, Lee Harrington directed and worked for Knot Nice and also directed and managed his own site, Rope Lover.[15] Lee Harrington continues working as a fine art and erotica photographer[16] and has had his photography featured in a variety of gallery shows.[17]
