Leonid Libkin is a computer scientist who works in database theory, logic in computer science, and finite model theory.

Libkin is a Professor at the University of Edinburgh,[6] where he holds the chair of Foundations of Data Management in the School of Informatics.[7] He previously worked at the University of Toronto and Bell Labs.[7]

Libkin is the author of a standard textbook on finite model theory.[8] He is an ACM Fellow,[4] a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh,[3] and a member of Academia Europaea.[2]
