Leptotyphlops cairi, or the Cairo blind snake, is a species of nonvenomous snake in the Leptotyphlopidae family.[2][3]

Geographic range

L. cairi is found in Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Mauritania, Niger, Somalia, Sudan, Uganda, and possibly in Libya.[1]

Etymology

The specific name, cairi, commemorates the city of Cairo, Egypt.[4]
