Leslie Peterson (bishop)

Leslie Ernest Peterson was a Canadian Anglican bishop in the 20th century.[1]

Peterson was born on 4 November 1928 and educated at the University of Western Ontario.[2] He was ordained in 1955.[3] Between then until 1983 he held incumbencies at All Saints’ Coniston, Ontario, St Peter’s Elliot Lake, Christ Church North Bay and Trinity Church Parry Sound. In 1983 year he became the coadjutor bishop and then the diocesan Bishop of Algoma.[4] He resigned his see in 1994 and died on 25 July 2002.
