Leucoraja is a genus of hardnose skate in the family Rajidae with fifteen species, commonly known as the rough skates. They occur mostly on continental shelves and slopes in the western north and eastern Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea, the southwestern Indian Ocean, and Australia.[1]
