Lev Yashin Cup

Lev Yashin Cup (Russian: ВТБ Кубок Льва Яшина) is an annual summer international football tournament in memory of the Soviet goalkeeper of the USSR national football team and FC Dynamo Moscow Lev Yashin, played in Moscow and Khimki, Russia. The rights to the tournament name owned bank VTB. Permanent member of the tournament is FC Dynamo Moscow, for which his entire career playing Lev Yashin. Since 2011, the tournament involved youth teams.

The tournament was contested by 8 teams. The teams play 3 round-robin 90-minute matches in two groups. Winners of both groups played in the final. Runners-up from groups played in the match for third place, and third place teams in the match for fifth place. In the case of a draw after 90 minutes, was an extra time and if it did not indicate the winner is determined after a series of penalty shootout.

The first edition of the tournament took place in 1994. Three teams played 2 round-robin 45-minute matches. Brazilian club Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras won the tournament as the highest point. The next edition was only after 16 years of absence in 2010.
