Lewis (given name)
Lewis (/ˈluːɪs/) is a masculine English given name; it is a variant of the French name Louis, itself derived from Germanic (Frankish) Chlodwig; it is thus cognate with the various forms of "Louis" in other languages such as Ludovico, Ludwig et al.
