"Lick" is a song by American funk/soul singer Joi, It was written by Joi Gilliam, Sleepy Brown, Rico Wade, Brandon Bennett, Raymon Ameer Murrey and produced by Joi for her third studio album Star Kitty's Revenge and later appeared in the film xXx and its soundtrack. Becoming an instant cult favorite courtesy of the film, this remains Gilliam's most successful single to date. A music video was never shot due to Gilliam parting ways with the music label and joining then fellow Lucy Pearl band mate Raphael Saadiq's Pookie Entertainment label at the time of its success.[1] The song would later be sampled in rapper Gucci Mane's 2007 hit single "Freaky Gurl".[2]
