Lido Beach, Mogadishu
Lido Beach in Mogadishu is a beach in Somalia`s capital.[1] The name "Lido" derives from the Italian word for "beach".
History
The beach in northern Mogadishu was developed in the late 1930s for the Italian colonists living in the capital of Italian Somalia. In the 1950s was fully developed.
Actually it is one of the landmarks of Mogadishu and is a point of meetings for the inhabitants relax.
Liido Beach in Mogadishu also Known as "Mogadishu Miami Beach" has attracted both local and foreign tourists in recent years.
Every weekend, families,oversea somalis,foreigner tourists flock to the scenic Beach to spend the leisure time and feel the nostalgia. With kids and the youth swimming, beach playing football on the sandy shores.
