Limnotilapia dardennii is a species of cichlid endemic to Lake Tanganyika, where it prefers rocky areas near the coast. The males of this species can reach a total length of 26 cm (10 in), and females can reach a length of 18 cm (7.1 in).[2] It may also be found in the aquarium trade. This species is currently the only known member of its genus.[3]
