Limuzīns Jāņu nakts krāsā (A Limousine The Colour Of Midsummer's Eve) is a 1981 Latvian TV-film, a comedy directed by Jānis Streičs. It was produced by Rīgas kinostudija.
It tells a story of an old woman, aunt Mirta, who lives alone in the countryside and unexpectedly wins a car in a lottery. Soon long forgotten relatives of the aunt appear to compete, who will inherit her property.
The film was awarded the Latvian National Film Prize Lielais Kristaps in 1981.[1] The film is part of Latvian Cultural Canon and voted all-time best Latvian film in popular vote.[2] It is shown every year on TV prior to the summer solstice festival of Jāņi, which is a national holiday in Latvia.
