Lindita Halimi (born 24 March 1989), commonly known as Linda Halimi or simply as Lindita, is an Albanian Kosovar singer-songwriter.[1] She rose to fame after winning the sixth edition of Top Fest with Ëndërroja (I dreamed).[2] In 2016 she decided to participate in the last season of American Idol. She was eliminated after finishing in the Top 51, when rising star La'Porsha Renae beat her out for the final female spot in the Top 24. Other female contestants who made the Top 24 include Jenn Blosil, Jeneve Rose Mitchell, Amelia Eisenhauer and Shelbie Z.

Early life career

Linda Halimi was born in Viti, Kosovo. She took part in the third edition of Ethet (Albanian Idol) and reached the Top 10. She has participated in Top Fest twice. In 2007 she won the Best New Artist award and won the competition in 2008. She has released several singles, mostly ballads. In 2013 she moved to the United States.[3] In December 2014 she returned to take part in the 53rd edition of Festivali i Këngës, where she finished third.[4]
