Linh Cinder

Linh Cinder is a "fictional character" and the protagonist of The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. She first appears in Cinder, based on the story Cinderella. She is a cyborg.

Cinder and her step-family live in New Beijing, the current Commonwealth of Earth. In the course of the first book, Cinder, Cinder is volunteered by her step-mother for the "Cyborg-Draft", an experiment to find a cure for the fictional disease Letumosis. Upon arrival at the research center, the lead scientist Dr. Dmitri Erland discovers that Cinder is immune to the disease. Together, they search for an explanation to her immunity. As the series goes on, Cinder becomes known as the galaxy's most wanted criminal.
