Liolaemus platei is a species of tree iguana, known by the common name Braided Tree Iguana. This taxon is endemic to the Chilean matorral ecoregion.[1] The species was first described in the year 1898 by Franz Werner.[2] The species is classified by the IUCN as Least Concern.[3]
