Lionsgate Premiere is the specialty division of Lionsgate, the company will release films theatrically and through the video on demand market and through streaming services.[1]

Background

On April 1, 2015, Lionsgate confirmed they had launched a new speciality division to release films theatrically, through video on demand and streaming services and streaming platforms. Marketing for the new label will be headed by Lionsgate senior VP of marketeting and research Jean McDowell. Lionsgate marketing officer Tim Palen will help with the promotional efforts. Adam Sorensen manager of sales, will take charge of Lionsgate Premiere’s distribution.[2] That same month, it was announced several of Grindstone Entertainment Group's films would be released under the label.[3] The division will also release select films by CBS Films as part of the distribution partnership with parent company Lionsgate, with the first release being Get a Job.[4][5]

In March 2016, Premiere and Hulu teamed to release Joshy.[6]
