List of Brazilian states by population density

Population density is a ratio of the average number of inhabitants per square kilometre. It is worked out by simply dividing the population by the area of the Federative Units. Brazil has an overall population density of 20.5 inhabitants per square kilometer. The figures are based on 2014 IBGE estimative data data.
