Hiroki wakes up to find Elis sleeping next to him, leading to them having a playful argument. The two have breakfast, and then go to school. Hiroki encounters Kana at the school library, who asks him a couple of odd questions before leaving. Mami asks Hiroki if he will help instruct the art club members, which he agrees to do. Whilst he's doing so, Elis interrupts by walking into the room, and is greeted by Mami, but Elis is unintentionally rude. Mami asks her if she would like to draw a bouquet of red roses, however, Elis runs out after saying that she does not want to. Back at home, Hiroki questions her, and scolds her for acting annoyed with everyone.

The next day, one of vases is broken, and Mami's drawing is ruined, Hiroki immediately suspects Elis, who instantly denies this. She then begins to criticize the art club, and still calls him "onii-chan", leading to Hiroki telling her not to call him that. Hurt, she runs out the room. After inspecting Elis's painting of blue roses, Hiroki asks the art club members if they saw Elis ruin the drawing, or break the vase and after nobody answers him, he concludes that Elis could not have done it. Later, Hiroki enounters Kana again, who already heard about the art club incident, to his surprise. They spot a girl called Hikari, who turns out to be the one who broke the vase, when she was trying to water the roses, and she splashed water on Mami's drawing so she went out to buy a new vase. Hikari tells Hiroki that Elis was suspected because she was the first one drawing inside the art room. Hiroki apologizes to Elis for assuming, and she forgives him. She starts running, and suddenly almost collapses when the traffic light turns red. Elis remembers a car accident concerning her parents. The next day, Hiroki and Elis meet his childhood friend Kiri who confessed to him on the rooftop in the past, but was turned down.

October 10, 2005

Kiri introduces herself to the students of the school, as she will be working as a teacher. After the assembly, Hiroki has a chat with Elis on a bench, and then walks off into the cafeteria. Kana comes to sit next to him without asking, and Kiri also comes to join them, and insists that Hiroki buys her lunch for a memorable reunion. He reluctantly agrees to. Elis ends up joining them on the table, she introduces herself as Hiroki's cousin. There is some kind of competition between Elis and Kiri, eventually a still-hungry Hiroki walks away from the table in annoyance. Kana asks Elis what it feels like for her cousin and his childhood friend to reunite, because she wants a reference for her novel.

Later in the gym, Kiri recalls when Hiroki rejected her confession on the rooftop. She and Hiroki make arrangements to go shopping together, as she is not familiar with the neighborhood. Meanwhile, Elis finds it hard to concentrate in the art club without Hiroki, and she starts to remember when she couldn't go outside, so Hiroki would draw what went on in the outside world for her. Elis and Mami make up. As arranged, Hiroki and Kiri go shopping, and then come back home together, where Kiri cooks dinner for the three of them (Hiroki, Elis, and Kiri). Kiri finds out that Hiroki gave up drawing, who says that teaching girls how to is more fun, this causes Kiri to run out the house, so Elis runs after her to give her back her belongings, which she left behind. Elis helps Kiri walk her way back, and then the two of them part ways. Hiroki and Elis walk back home together. At night, Elis ends up sleeping beside Hiroki again, after she tries to kiss him. Elis doesn't know that Hiroki is awake.

Whilst shopping, Elis runs off without Hiroki when she sees balloons being given out, to Hiroki's annoyance. He then spots Kana through a window. Elis and Hiroki go into a library, where he finds a strange novel, which turns out to be one of Kana's published novels. He decides to buy it, along with all the other books Elis makes him buy. He meets Kana in the library, and he praises her book, but says that it lacks in reality. The two part ways when afternoon classes start. Kana realizes that it's because she has no experience in dating guys, despite the fact she writes romance novels. So she asks Hiroki, and he soon agrees to. This rather annoys Elis when she finds out. She even tries to spy on them when they're on their 'date'. Kiri catches her doing this, before noticing that Hiroki and Kana are walking as if they're lovers. Elis and Kiri agree to be detectives together and spy on their date. However, Kiri runs so fast that Elis can't catch up.

Near the end of the date, Kana and Hiroki almost kiss, leading to Elis running out and exposing herself, as does Kiri. Kana finds this funny, as she did not even plan to kiss him. It turns out Kana knew that Elis was following them the entire time, but not Kiri. Satisfied, Kana runs off having found out what a date is like. Elis and Kiri act annoyed with Hiroki afterwards as a result. Kana gives Hiroki her newly written novel, which she wants him to read before anyone else. This book comically turns out to be similar to the circumstance with Elis and Kiri fighting over Hiroki, Kana even suggests that a third girl (her) comes to steal him away.

Hiroki reminds a girl feeding a stray cat that she will be late, in a helpful manner, but this agitates her, causing her to walk off. It is Hiroki's first day of being a student-teacher, the headmistress, Saya Saginomiya, kindly instructs him in what he will be doing. His presence in the classroom causes quite an uproar of playful teasing from students, and when they start talking about a 'girlfriend', Elis jumps up from her seat and shouts that he doesn't have a girlfriend, and then orders him to finish his greeting, to everyone's confusion. Hiroki encounters the girl who fed a stray cat again, who walks out as soon as Yuu (a heroine from Canvas: Motif of Sepia) tries to introudice him to her. She explains that Tomoko Fujinami, the girl, has a weak body, and has been absent from school for a long period of time due to illness.

In art class, Tomoko gets teased due to her gloomy nature, which leads to her tearing up her drawing. Hiroki realizes that being a teacher isn't as easy as it looks. The girls in class continue to tease/flirt with Hiroki, leading to Elis dragging him off to the cafeteria with her. Hiroki manages to get on Tomoko's good side, by letting her draw with him in P.E. Suddenly, everyone starts crowding around them in curiosity.
