- John Adler (1959–2011), Congressman for New Jersey's 3rd congressional district from 2009 until his death.[1]
- Muhammad Ali (born 1942), former heavyweight boxing champion.[2]
- Maurice Ascalon (1913–2003) and David Ascalon, noted sculptors and co-founders of Ascalon Studios, and the contemporary industrial designer Brad Ascalon.[3]
- Brian Baldinger (born 1960), former National Football League player and television sportscaster.[4]
- James Barbour (born 1966), Broadway Actor, grew up in Cherry Hill, attended Cherry Hill High School East.[5]
- Lawrence Bender (born 1957), Academy Award-winning film and television producer whose credits include Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Good Will Hunting, An Inconvenient Truth.[6]
- James Berardinelli (born 1967), film critic.
- David Bianculli is an American TV critic, columnist, radio personality, non-fiction author and university professor.
- Mike Bibby (born 1978), National Basketball Association basketball player who currently plays for the Miami Heat.[7][8]
- Jim Bunning (born 1931), former major league baseball pitcher with the Philadelphia Phillies and former United States Senator from Kentucky.[9]
- Sarah Chang (born 1980), violinist.[10]
- Tony Chimel (born 1967), former ring announcer for WWE's SmackDown brand.
- Bobby Clarke (born 1949), former hockey player and former general manager for the Philadelphia Flyers, three-time NHL Hart Memorial Trophy winner, member of the Hockey Hall of Fame.

- Dick Curl (born 1940), first Varsity Football Head Coach at Cherry Hill HS East, 1968–73, now coaching for the St. Louis Rams.[14]
- Eric Dezenhall (born 1962), author of fiction and nonfiction, books include Glass Jaw: A Manifesto for Defending Fragile Reputations in an Age of Instant Scandal, Money Wanders, The Devil Himself and CEO of Dezenhall Resources, Ltd. Graduate of Cherry Hill West.[15][16]

- Marissa Dyan (born 1975), American actress best known for playing Cassidy Giuliani on City Guys on NBC.
- Hank Eskin, founder and creator of the popular currency tracking website. Attended Cherry Hill High School West
- Rick Folbaum, co-anchor for WNYW-TV New York's weekday 6PM newscasts. Attended Cherry Hill High School West
- Glenn Foley (born 1970), former NFL quarterback. Cherry Hill HS East Class of 1989.[18]
- Keith Richards, guitarist of the Rolling Stones lived in Cherry Hill while undergoing treatment for heroin addiction in Philadelphia.
- Casey Fossum (born 1978), Major League Baseball pitcher who played at Cherry Hill American Little League.
- Paul Goldin (1932-1994) and Ken Goldin (born 1965) co-founders of The Score Board Inc. of Cherry Hill, NJ.[19]
- Eric Goldberg (born 1955), animator and film director best known for his work at Walt Disney Animation Studios.[20]
- Bob Greene, personal trainer, frequent guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show.[21]
- Tommy Gunn (born 1967), pornographic actor.[22]
- Craig Harris, nationally published video game reviewer and one of the founding editors of entertainment website IGN.
- Gene Hart (1931–1999), longtime Philadelphia Flyers announcer.[23]
- Orel Hershiser (born 1958), former professional baseball pitcher, who attended Cherry Hill High School East Class of 1976.[24]
- Todd Hollandsworth (born 1973), Major League Baseball outfielder and 1996 MLB rookie of the year. Lived in Cherry Hill through middle-school.
- Tim Howard (born 1979), Everton FC and USA National team Goalkeeper
- Adam Jasinski (born 1978), winner of Big Brother 9.

- Toby Lightman, singer-songwriter and Atlantic Records recording artist.

- Donovan McNabb (born 1976), former quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles.[29]
- Cristin Milioti (born 1985), Broadway and film actress, who received a 2012 Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical for her work in Once (musical).
- Fred Neulander (born 1941), former rabbi of the Congregation M'Kor Shalom, convicted of the 1994 contract killing of his wife Carol Neulander.
- George Norcross III (born 1957), local Democratic party political leader and chief executive of Commerce National Insurance.
- Vince Papale (born 1946), former professional football player, Philadelphia Eagles. Papale was the oldest non-kicker rookie in the NFL and the inspiration for the 2006 film, Invincible.
- Bernie Parent, (born 1945), retired ice hockey goalie.[30]
- Mikael Renberg (born 1972), played for the Philadelphia Flyers
- Ron Rivera (born 1962), former Super Bowl-winning Chicago Bears linebacker. Worked as the Linebacker Coach for the Philadelphia Eagles before going back to the Chicago Bears as their Defensive Coordinator.
- "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers (1921–1992), professional wrestler, first World Wide Wrestling Federation World Heavyweight Champion, first man to hold both the World Wide Wrestling Federation and National Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight Championships

- William 'Worldwide Wes' Wesley (born 1964), NBA insider; mysterious yet influential figure across the league.
- Alexa Wilkinson, singer-songwriter who was born in Cherry Hill but moved to Park City, Utah aged 12.
