Given below is the List of Prominent Alumni of Indian School of Mines.

Note- ISM's alumni have excelled mainly in the fields of earth sciences (such as Mining and Petroleum), for the simple reason that these were the only branches in ISM till around 1998. However, with the coming up of technology branches (such as Computer Science) subsequently, the alumni have started to excel in these.

• Sharma Nand Sharma- Chairman of SEZ Developers Association of India. Owner of Surat SEZ. CMD of Diamond & Gem Development Corporation.^[2]

• Vinay Kumar Dewan- Founder and Chairman of Bramco Group, Bahrain. Operates in Middle East, India, Germany, UK and USA.^[3]

• Dr. Ganesh Thakur- Vice President, Chevron Corporation , USA. 2012 International President, Society of Petroleum Engineers, USA ^[4]

• Dr. Mihir Sinha- Energy finance specialist. Former Vice President of J. P. Morgan, USA ^[5]
