In a battle on the Dinant Plains, the young Leitmeritz war maiden Eleonora Viltaria and her 5,000 troops obliterate an army of 25,000 soldiers from the Brune Kingdom, leaving the Brunish count Tigrevurmud Vorn as one of the few surviving soldiers. He spots Elen's escort and attacks hoping to kill her and demoralize the enemy. His attack fails and the war maiden captures him and brings him to her bustling homeland Leitmeritz. Tigre's sleep is troubled by visions of being ridiculed by Zion Thernardier, the son of Duke Felix Aaron Thenardier, before Elen's assault and is woken up by Limalisha, Elen's colleague and bodyguard. Elen discusses his current situation as a prisoner with Tigre and realizes that the ransom she demanded for him is too much for him or any of his acquaintances to pay. Later that day, Elen arranges for a demonstration of Tigre's skills with a bow, but he is given an inferior weapon and appears to misfire twice. When an assassin makes an attempt on Elen's life, she stops the crossbow quarrel with her powers and Tigre, having determined the inferior bow's limits, shoots the assassin allowing Lim to apprehend him. Those who gave him the flawed bow are astonished that he was able to pierce the fleeing assassin's foot at a range of more than 300 alsins (meters). Elen offers Tigre a position in her service but he declines because he has a responsibility to the people and land of Alsace. Disappointed, Elen allows Tigre to keep the rank of Count and he grows used to life at Leitmeritz. As night comes, Bertrand, Tigre's loyal servant, arrives at Elen's fortress and tells Tigre that Thenardier is mobilizing his troops towards Alsace.

"Kikan" (帰還)
Shunsuke IshikawaTatsuo SatōOctober 11, 2014
In Brune, Thenardier dispatches Zion to destroy Alsace as a sign of dominance now that the Brunish prince Regnas has been killed. The soothsayer Drekavac gives Zion two dragons to be used as war beasts. In Leitmeritz, Tigre desperately tries to get back to protect his homeland. When Elen stops him and asks what Tigre alone could possibly do against 3,000 soldiers, he asks the war maiden to let him borrow her army, which greatly amuses her, and she accepts, on the condition that she will rule Alsace, which Tigre accepts. In Alsace, Titta, Tigre's maid, helps to evacuate the citizens but decides to stay at Tigre's home. While Zion's forces pillage the town, Zion decides to destroy the mansion. He attempts to rape Titta, but is interrupted by the arrival of Tigre and Elen and he retreats. When an enemy archer tries to shoot Tigre, he catches the arrow and shoots it back, destroying his bow in the process. Titta gives her master the Black Bow, an heirloom of Tigre's ancestors.

Takashi WatanabeTatsuo SatōOctober 18, 2014
Thenardier's army of 2,700 and Tigre and Elen's army of 900 clash on the open plain of Molsheim, with Elen and Tigre leading the charge. When the Zhcted army defeats his first battalion, Zion sends his Earth Dragon in, which crushes and kills everything in its path. Elen faces the dragon alone, while Lim and her company distract the enemy forces. Using Arifar's full power, Elen slices the dragon in two, while Lim's force leads their pursuers into a series of traps. This dismays Zion's troops, including Zion himself, who refuses to send the wyvern into the battle. The arrival of 2,000 Zhcted "reinforcements" (in reality, a shadow army of only 100 men and 2,000 remounts) to the rear sends Zion into a panic. He orders his army to retreat, which allows the Leitmeritz army to slaughter the retreating soldiers. When Zion attempts to flee on the wyvern, Tigre's bow speaks to him and absorbs power from Elen's Draconic Tool allowing Tigre to shoot down the wyvern and Zion, killing them both. The Leitmeritz army celebrates their victory over Zion's forces.

Following Tigre's victory Elen is summoned to the Zhcted capital city Silesia and leaves Lim behind to help Tigre. When Tigre and Titta return from checking on his people, they are joined by Earl Mashas Rodant, Tigre's friend and ally. Tigre and his forces convince other nobles to join their cause, one of them being the Brunish viscount Hughes Augre and his son, Gerard. In Silesia, King Viktor demands to know why Elen invaded Brune. She explains herself and Polesia war maiden Sofya Obertas vouches for her. Fellow war maiden Ludmila Lourie arrives after Elen's audience ends. The two of them square off but are brought to heel by Sofy. Afterwards Sofy explains to Elen that Ludmila's family is allied with Thenardier and that she is now an enemy, even though Mila personally detests him. Back in Alsace, Elen, Tigre and Lim discuss their plans but are interrupted by the arrival of Mila. They decide to reconvene in the town of Rodnik and Mila questions Tigre about his motives as they ride. Along the way they are ambushed by a group of assassins known as the Seven Chains. Mila uses her spear, Lavias, to kill most of the assailants, but Lim is bitten by a snake. Tigre sucks the venom out then he and Elen go to Rodnik to get help.

Takashi WatanabeTatsuo SatōNovember 1, 2014
Lim recovers from the snake bite and Elen "rewards" Tigre with a bath in a private bathhouse where Mila happens to be bathing. Afterwards Tigre, Lim and both war maidens tour Rodnik, but despite having a good time, Mila states that she is returning to her snowy homeland of Olmütz on the border of Leitmeritz. Elen orders Lim to increase the border patrol and Mila mobilizes her forces. This is a plot by Thenardier to force Elen to move forces from Alsace to her border. The Leitmeritz forces mobilize and the armies clash, but their battle ends in a stalemate. Mila retreats to the Tatra Fortress, a nearly impregnable fortification, and the Leitmeritz army settles in for a siege. Disguising himself as a bear, Tigre scouts for a route around the fortress and encounters Mila. Maintaining his disguise, Tigre and Mila share some tea and she expresses her misgivings about supporting Thenardier. Tigre follows Mila when she returns to the fortress and then reports back to Elen and they lead a raid of 100 men into the mountains. Elen uses her full power to try to break through the rear gate but fails. When Tigre saves Elen from certain death, the two combine their powers to destroy the gate and lead their men into the breach.
6 "Black Knight"
"Kurokishi" (黒騎士)
Kazuhide KondoTatsuo SatōNovember 8, 2014
After destroying the gate to the Tatra Fortress Elen fights with Mila. The duel is interrupted by the final member of the Seven Chains who attempts to assassinate the war maidens, only to be killed by Tigre. Mila then realizes that not only is Tigre is the hunter she met earlier, but also that he only wants to protect Alsace. In gratitude for him saving her life, Mila declares her neutrality in the war between Vorn and Thenardier, thus ending the standoff with Leitmeritz. On the western border of Brune, Roland, the leader of the Navarre Knights and wielder of the legendary sword Durendal, receives a message from the king at Thenardier's request, ordering him to mobilize his men and kill Tigre. In Territoire, Viscount Augre's land, Tigre's allied forces and Elen's men form an uneasy alliance which they name the Silver Meteor Storm. Sofy arrives at the camp and informs them that King Viktor sent her as an envoy to the capital, Nice, and that the situation in the royal palace is very grave; Faron is very ill and Tigre has been charged with treason. Sofy also informs Elen of the positions of the other four war maidens, while Tigre and Hughes struggle to retain the loyalty of their allies. The Navarre knights approach but Roland rejects all offers of parlay and the armies clash in the plain of Orlange. The Silver Meteor Storm suffers heavy casualties and even Elen has trouble facing Roland. Tigre intervenes, killing Roland's horse and escaping with Elen but he is severely injured in the process. Elen is torn between seeking medical aid and facing the pursuing knights. Fortunately, Sofy appears allowing Elen to aid Tigre.

Kenji YasudaTatsuo SatōNovember 15, 2014
Sofy uses the power of her staff to overpower the approaching knights, but it is unable to stop Roland and they fight. Sofy holds her own and, once Elen and Tigre are safely away, uses her staff's power to disappear. The Navarre knights stop their pursuit when reinforcements led by Mashas arrive. Roland remembers how he was prevented from meeting with King Faron by Dukes Ganelon and Thenardier. In the camp, Mashas tells his allies that he was also unable to meet with the king, but that his friend, Prime Minister Badowin, told him that the king's mental health is precarious and the Dukes are using this to do as they please. With Tigre still unconscious Elen promises to win the battle and Sofy volunteers to help her. Roland's companion tells him that Tigre turned traitor in order to protect Alsace from Thenardier which fuels Roland's doubts. Tigre awakens and guided by the Black Bow and accompanied by Titta finds his way to a mysterious temple belonging to the goddess of darkness, night and death, Tir na Va. The goddess corrupts Titta and tests Tigre's resolve and desire for power by making him shoot Titta. Tigre controls his power enough that the arrow does not harm Titta and the temple disappears. The Silver Meteor Storm halts the Navarre knights advance by diverting the local river and turning the battle plain into a bog, making the knights easy targets for their archers. Elen draws Roland away from his main force, but the black knight easily withstands Elen's full power. Tigre arrives at the battlefield and confronts Roland despite reopening his wounds. Elen and Sofy support him and Tigre shoots with the combined power of all three. While Roland survives, he finds himself unable to move and accepts his defeat. With half of the Navarre knights dead and their commander defeated, the battle comes to an end.

Roland's death upsets even Thenardier, but he is distracted when Ganelon informs him that an army of 20,000 men from the kingdom of Muozinel is invading Brune. Thenardier takes a third of his men to face the invaders and sends the remainder to the capital to counter Ganelon. On hearing of the invasion and the people taken as slaves, Tigre decides to face the invaders, despite being outnumbered 10 to 1. While scouting the enemy, Tigre and Ryurik save a girl, Regin, from some Muozinel soldiers. Tigre's force wipes out the invaders with hit-and-run tactics. In response, General Kasim kills some of the slaves. Tigre leads his main force against the Muozinel vanguard and kills Kasim, which breaks the invaders' morale and the slaves are freed. Gerard informs Tigre that despite suffering few casualties, their supplies are starting to run low, and that the retreating Muozinel soldiers are joining an even larger invading force, which will number 40,000 in mere days. Tigre leads some of his riders to meet the Mouzinel cavalry and is unexpectedly reinforced by the arrival of Mila and her army.

Meanwhile, Mila proposes a plan to defeat the Muozinel army in one battle, but the opposing army is led by Kureys Shahin Balamir, the younger brother of the king of Muozinel, who defeated a fleet from Sachstein five times the size of his own. Just as the situation seems hopeless, three separate units of reinforcements totaling 5,000 Brune knights appear to aid the Silver Meteor Storm. While at first Kureys believes these reinforcements will make no difference, another 3,000 men led by Hughes and Mashas also arrive forcing Kureys to retreat and regroup. When word of the loss of Muozinel's fleet at the hands of Thenardier reaches Kureys, he decides to withdraw and sends an overly flattering letter of congratulations to Tigre in the hopes that is arouses the envy of his allies. During a meeting, Bertrand summons Regin who reveals that she posed as Regnas; the night before Elen's attack on Dinant, she was attacked by assassins and was forced to fake her death. Without any other proof of her bloodline, she can only prove her birthright as the King's daughter in the Sacred Caverns located in Artesium, Duke Ganelon's capital. Thenardier receives five dragons from Drekavac and, after eliminating Ganelon's forces in the capital, moves to intercept the Silver Meteor Storm. In Artesium, Ganelon does not act to save his men and sets fire to the city before fleeing. In Silesia, King Viktor dispatches Sofy to Brune as a messenger. The Silver Meteor Storm of 20,000 clashes with Thenardier's army of 24,000 on the plain of Villecreunes. Regin explains that there are three entrances to The Holy Grotto and they choose to go to the nearest one, a temple in the outskirts of Artesium. Tigre, Elen, Regin and Bertrand along with some knights enter the caverns, only to find that Thenardier and his men used another entrance. A battle ensues and Thenardier sends his second-in-command Steid to kill Vorn and the Princess while Elen faces the Duke. When Steid gets near Tigre, the cave begins to collapse. Thenardier retreats but Steid continues to pursue Tigre as the cavern crumbles. While Elen, Regin and Ryurik flee, Bertrand rushes to his Lord's side and saves Tigre at the cost of his own life before Steid is crushed by the falling rocks. Trapped, Tigre rushes to Bertrand who speaks of how fortunate he was to have had both Urz and Tigre as Lords before dying in Tigre's arms, devastating the count. Elen and the rest of the army rush to Artesium where they find Tigre and Bertrand's body. Tigre is still devastated by Bertrand's death. Elen tells him about how she began as a simple mercenary and felt pride in it which helps Tigre recovers his resolve, to the relief of Titta and the others. Later Elen talks about her plan of building a road that will connect Alsace and Leitmeritz, increasing the flow of products and wealth. Then the Silver Meteor Army receives a visit from Prime Minister Badowin who wants to ascertain Tigre's intentions and informs them that the king was poisoned by Ganelon and is dying but has regained his faculties and wants to see Regin. The Siver Meteor Storm advances towards the capital and meets Thenardier's army on the plain of Melville. Without Thenardier directing his men, the battle goes in favor of the Silver Meteor Storm and Thenardier and Tigre face off. When Tigre questions Thenardier about his motives for invading Alsace, the Duke answers that it was simply to prevent it from being used by either Ganelon or Zhcted. Unable to forgive each other, they duel. Tigre gathers his bow's power but is brought to his senses by Elen, who tells him that using his hatred is not the way to win. Tigre draws a single arrow and throws his quiver away, to Thenadier's surprise, and states that he will only need one arrow. Thenardier charges Tigre and is shot out of his saddle. Meanwhile Valentina offers asylum to Ganelon. In Nice, the populace celebrates the Silver Meteor Storm as heroes. King Faron recognizes Regin as his heir and agrees to Tigre's terms for peace. He also grants Tigre the title of Lumiere, Knight of the Moonlight, that unknown to everyone but Badowin, is an ancient title traditionally given to the future king of Brune. A few days later Faron dies and Regin ascends to the throne. Tigre and Titta return to Leitmeritz and the construction of the road between Alsace and Leitmeritz will begin in the spring. As Elen and Lim talk about the future, Tigre goes out hunting.
