The Catholic Church in China (PR and Taiwan) comprises 21 Roman Catholic ecclesiastical provinces, consisting of 21 archdioceses, 86 suffragan dioceses and 30 exempt dioceses (many apostolic prefectures and the diocese of Macau), i.e. immediately subject to the Holy See, all members of the Latin Church. Furthermore, the Byzantine rite Russian Catholic Church has an Apostolic exarchate for China in Harbin.
