List of Sector General species
This is a list of fictional alien species from the science fiction series Sector General, in alphabetical order. The species' name is followed where known by its four-letter physiological classification.
It is notable that some of these species are sentient life forms, while others may not be.
B
- Blind Ones (CPSD): A burrowing species of unknown origin which has nevertheless achieved spaceflight.
C
- Chalder (AUGL): Large water-breathing sentient fish-like creatures from the planet Chalderescol. They are approximately 10m long with large jaws, multiple rows of teeth, armor-plating and a ring of manipulatory tentacles around the middle. Despite their fearsome appearance, they are peaceful and polite.
- Cinrusskin (GLNO): A sentient insectile species from the planet Cinruss. They have six sucker-tipped legs and two wide iridiscent & near-transparent wings. They have an exoskeleton with three segments and two large eyes. They're fragile, with cowardice being a prime survival characteristic. They have a lack of stamina, and must rest frequently, sleeping deeply, with only a physical stimulus or close presence of danger able to wake them. They do have both projective & receptive empathic abilities though.
- Crepellian (AMSL): Water breathing octopoids. They keep non-sentient AACL hexapoids as pets.
- Cromsag (DCSL)
D
- Drambon Healer (SRJH): Jellyfish-like creature which treats the fauna symbiotic to the strata beings on Drambo.
- Drambon Roller (CLHG): Toroidal aquatic species from the planet Drambo. Their circulation is dependent on constant rolling motion.
- Duwatti (EGCL): Large snail-like creature with empathic ability.
- Dwerlan (DBPK): Intelligent caterpillar-like creatures, with some similarity to Kelgian DBLFs.
E
- Etlan (DBDG): Very close in physiology to the Earth-human DBDGs.
- Eurils (MSVK): Fragile, birdlike low gravity beings, usually sharing environmental space with the LSVOs.
F
- Fotawnan (TOBS): An amoebic, shape-shifting intelligent creature.
G
- Gogleskan (FOKT): Intelligent but seriously dangerous when its instinctive group defence reaction is triggered.
- Groalterri (BLSU): A species from Groalter.
H
- Hudlar (FROB): Heavily armored high-gravity dwellers possessing massive physical strength and durability. They do not eat; rather spraying areas of their armor with a food compound.
- Human (DBDG): Earth humans.
I
- Ian (DBLF, GKNM): Large ring-shaped inhabitants of the planet Ia, which metamorphose at adulthood, hence the dual classification.
- Illensan (PVSJ): Chlorine-breathing, vegetable-like beings. Despite appearance repugnant to most non-PVSJs, they are very vain.
K
- Kelgian (DBLF): Large furry caterpillars. Brusque to the point of rudeness. See main article for details.
M
- Melfan (ELNT): Large arthropods with a crab-like exoskeleton.
N
- Nallajim (LSVO): Fragile, low-gravity birdlike creatures.
- Nidian (DBDG): Small furry beings resembling teddy bears. Very similar to Orligian DBDGs.
O
- Orligian (DBDG): Small furry beings resembling teddy bears. Very similar to Nidian DBDGs.
Q
- QLCL: Non-humanoid species of unspecified origin, allied to the Galactic Federation, who breathe a mix of gases toxic to humanoids and consider harsh blue light "restful." Their classification, QLCL, is also given as "QCQL."
R
- Rhum (DTRC)
S
- Sommaradvan (DCNF): A pre-spaceflight species, upright with two sets of four arms at the neck and midsection.
T
- Tarlan (BRLH)
- Telfi (VTXM): Small beetle-like creature with a group mind. They feed on radiation and live in the hospital's main reactor.
- Threcaldan (TLTU): High-temperature life form which requires an atmosphere of superheated steam.
- Tralthan (FGLI): Large six-legged elephantine creatures. Highly intelligent.
- Tralthan symbiont (OTSB): Small creature with very fine manipulators. Symbiotic with Tralthan FGLIs, despite the "O" prefix which indicates that it is a chlorine-breather.
V
- Vothan (SNLU): Cryogenic, crystalline, methane-based intelligent life form described as a "sentient snowflake."
W
- Wemar (DHCG): Large kangaroo-like creature.
