List of Sites of Special Scientific Interest in Berkshire
In England the body responsible for designating Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs) is Natural England, which chooses a site because of its fauna, flora, geological or physiographical features.[1]
As of 2012 there were 71 SSSIs within Berkshire, of which 8 are listed for their geological interest and 63 for their biological interest.[2]
