List of T20I cricket matches played between India and Pakistan
The national cricket teams of India and Pakistan have been competing against each other in Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) since their first meeting on 14 September 2007.[3] The first T20I between the teams was at the 2007 ICC World Twenty20, where India won the match by bowl-out after the scores were tied. The match was officially recorded as a tie.
The two sides have played against each other on 8 occasions. India holds the better record having won 6 matches (excluding a tie won by bowl-out), while Pakistan won 1 match and 1 match was tied.[4]
Only one bilateral T20I series has been held between the two sides when Pakistan toured India in 2012–13. Most matches have taken place at the World Twenty20, although, because of the structure of the event, they are not guaranteed to play each other even if they both take part. However, they are scheduled to meet in each edition of the Asia Cup, a tournament which began to be contested in the T20 format since the 2016 edition.
