List of UK Dance Singles Chart number ones of 2012

The UK Dance Chart is a chart that ranks the biggest-selling singles which are released in the United Kingdom. The chart is compiled by the Official Chart Company[1] and is based on both physical and digital sales of tracks, classified as 'electronic dance'.

Summary

The first number-one dance single of the year was awarded to pop singer Rihanna with the Calvin Harris-produced "We Found Love". The song, which topped the UK Singles Chart for six non-consecutive weeks during 2011, had already spent eleven consecutive weeks atop the chart from 9 October to 18 December in 2011, having been interrupted by DJ Avicii's "Levels" on 25 December. 22 January saw David Guetta claim the first new number-one single of 2012, with "Titanium", which featured Australian singer Sia. On 5 February, "Titanium" simultaneously topped the UK Singles Chart, with sales of 85,95 copies. The track spent four consecutive weeks at the summit, with DJ Fresh and the Rita Ora-assisted "Hot Right Now" dethroning it on 25 February – with a current year high of 127,988 copies.
