A parody of The Pink Panther, the episode starts at the Louvre Museum in Paris, where the famous painting The Moaning Liza is held. A criminal named the Pink Pussycat (who's identical to Snagglepuss) arrives and steals the painting, but sets off the security alarm. In the ensuing escape, the Pink Pussycat accidentally leaves his shadow behind. The next day, Undercover Elephant holds a press conference where he announces that Yogi's Treasure Hunting Team is on the case. When interviewing the various H-B characters that are inside the paintings at the Louvre, they discover that the criminal's shadow is still there. Snooper and Blabber conclude that they will need to find the person whose profile matches the shadow. Just then, Snagglepuss walks in and admires the shadow, which Blabber concludes is a perfect match to Snag's profile. Undercover walks in and arrests Snagglepuss. A trial is conducted by Judge Hokey Wolf, who sentences Snagglepuss (along with Dick Dastardly and Muttley, who are already imprisoned) to the guillotine. At a stadium the next morning, the Goodyogi blimp arrives and pulls Snag and the two villains away just as they are about to be beheaded. The gang decides that they have to clear Snag's name and find the real perpetrator. Dastardly and Muttley promise to help too, but are really only doing it to get the reward. T.C. tells them that the criminal's secret hideout is located at "a famous place in France where the people wear no pants". Meanwhile, the Pink Pussycat is planning to use his Life-O-Matic machine to bring the Moaning Liza to life. The treasure hunters arrive at the Eiffel Tower, where they find the shadow from earlier. After a lengthy chase around Paris, they finally find him at the "Boulin Rouge", which is the famous place they were looking for. Inside, the shadow reunites with the Pink Pussycat. Unfortunately for him, the shadow opens the door to reveal Yogi and crew. The Pink Pussycat escapes with the Moaning Liza, and disguises as a can-can dancer. Dastardly and Muttley are also disguised, and Dastardly fights with the Pussycat for possession of the painting. Yogi, Quick Draw, and Snagglepuss also disguise themselves, and they proceed to kick the criminals off the stage. They accidentally turn on the Life-O-Matic, which transports the Pink Pussycat inside the Moaning Liza, and Dastardly and Muttley inside American Gothic.
