Organizations
Academy Awards
The Academy Awards, or "Oscars" are a set of awards given annually for excellence of cinematic achievements. The awards, organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), were first held in 1929 at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.[1] Nolan has received three nominations.
AFI Awards
The American Film Institute (AFI) is a film organization that educates filmmakers and honors the heritage of the moving picture arts in the U.S. AFI is supported by private funding and public membership. Nolan has been awarded five times.
British Academy Film Awards
The British Academy Film Award is an annual award show presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. The awards were founded in 1947 as The British Film Academy, by David Lean, Alexander Korda, Carol Reed, Charles Laughton, Roger Manvell and others.[9] Nolan has received three nominations.
Critics Choice Awards
The Critics' Choice Movie Awards have been presented annually since 1995 by the Broadcast Film Critics Association for outstanding achievements in the film industry.[13] Nolan has received three awards from six nominations.
Golden Globe Award
The Golden Globe Award is an accolade bestowed by the 93 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) recognizing excellence in film and television, both domestic and foreign.[17] Nolan has received four nominations.
Independent Spirit Awards
The Independent Spirit Awards (originally known as the FINDIE or Friends of Independents Awards), founded in 1984, are awards dedicated to independent filmmakers. Nolan has been awarded thrice.
Italian Online Movie Award
Italian Online Movie Awards is the name of the movie award assigned every year by a group of Italian movielovers to the best films of the season (from April to March). Nolan has been awarded thrice.

Saturn Awards

Guild Awards
Directors Guild of America
The Directors Guild of America (DGA) is an entertainment guild which represents the interests of film and television directors in the United States motion picture industry and abroad. Founded as the Screen Directors Guild in 1936, the group merged with the Radio and Television Directors Guild in 1960 to become the modern Directors Guild of America. Nolan has received three nominations.
Producers Guild of America
Producers Guild of America (PGA) is a trade organization representing television producers, film producers and New Media producers in the United States.[21] The PGA's membership includes over 7,000 members of the producing establishment worldwide. Its co-presidents are Gary Lucchesi and Lori McCreary.[22] Nolan has received two nominations.
Writers Guild of America
The Writers Guild of America Awards for outstanding achievements in film, television, radio, and videogames (added in 2008) writing, including both fiction and non-fiction categories, have been presented annually by the Writers Guild of America, East and Writers Guild of America, West since 1949. Nolan has received one award from two nominations.
