This is a ranking of the highest grossing Indian films in overseas markets which may include films from Bollywood and other film domains of India. These estimates are as reported by reputable sources.
The films Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge which started the overseas box office for Indian films. And afterwards Indian films followed a trend of releasing worldwide with maximum number of screens.[1][2][3] [4] The film My Name is Khan became the first Indian film ever to cross ₹100 crore (US$15 million) collecting more than $23 million from overseas markets.[5][6] PK became the first Indian film to cross ₹100 crore (US$15 million) collecting more than $19.32 million in a single overseas territory (China).[7][8][9][10]
