List of major home appliance manufacturers is a reference list of manufacturers building major home appliances both active and defunct, available in Australia, Canada, Great Britain, and the United States. It is specifically limited to manufactures of major home appliances and does not include companies that only manufacture Small appliances or brands intended for only for commercial use.

This is a list of names of some of the largest independent manufactures that are no longer in existence. This is not intended as a comprehensive list. It would be a difficult undertaking to find and list every company that ever existed that manufactured major home appliances. For example, the 1918 Engineering Directory^[1] has eight pages listing approximately 400 manufactures of stoves in the USA.
