Several Political parties operate in Aosta Valley, Italy and historically they have been even more than today. No one party has ever had the chance of gaining power alone (even if the Valdostan Union is by far the largest party) and thus parties must work with each other to form coalition governments.
The political parties are currently organized into three political coalitions, both at the national and regional level.
Coalitions
The system of political parties in Aosta Valley is organized into four political coalitions:

- Five Star Movement (Movimento Cinque Stelle)
- The People of Freedom (Il Popolo della Libertà)
Regionalist parties
Several regionalist parties operate in Aosta Valley, gaining 80.1% of the total vote in the last regional election. This is a list of current and former regionalist parties active in Aosta Valley.
