As of 1901, the Cathedral Basilica of St. James the Apostle, Szczecin, with spire, measured 119m. Damaged during World War II, it undergone a series of reconstricutions, and as of 2009 it measures 110,18m (with spire).[1]

Although before World War II the 64 metre high EWA grain elevator was built, the first high-rise in Szczecin is the PRITV building built in 1980, reaching 65m and 17 floors. Twelve years later the Pazim building has been completed, measuring 92m and 22 floors. in 2009 the apartment high-rise WIDOK has been constructed.

The tallest structure is the former Wiskord factory (pl:Wiskord S. A.) chimney located in Żydowce reaching 250m.

The 28 floor hanza tower is in construction and it is planned to be finisned in 2015, and a skyscraper is planned by the new station.
