List of organisations banned by the Government of India

The Ministry of Home Affairs of India has banned a number of organisations that they have designated as terrorist organisations.[1]

Current list of organisations designated as terrorist

Following is the list of terrorist organisations banned by India As of 31 March 2015, mainly under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act:[1][2]

  1. Akhil Bharat Nepali Ekta Samaj (ABNES)
  2. Al-Badr
  3. All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF)
  4. Al-Qaeda
  5. Al-Umar-Mujahideen (AUM)
  6. Babbar Khalsa International (BKI)
  7. Communist Party of India (Maoist), all its formations and front organisations.
  8. Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) People's War, all its formations and front organisations.
  9. Deendar Anjuman (DA)
  10. Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM)
  11. Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA), all its formations and front organisations.
  12. Harkat-ul-Mujahideen (HUM) / Harkat-ul-Ansar (HUA) / Harkat-ul-Jihad-e-Islami (HUJI)
  13. Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) / Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Pir Panjal Regiment (HMPPR)
  14. Indian Mujahideen (IM), all its formations and front organisations.
  15. International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF)
  16. Islamic State (IS) / Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) / Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) / Dais and all its manifestations.[3]
  17. Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) / Tahrik-e-Furqan (TeF)
  18. Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen (JUM)
  19. Jammu and Kashmir Islamic Front (JKIF)
  20. Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO)
  21. Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL)
  22. Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP)
  23. Khalistan Commando Force (KCF)
  24. Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF)
  25. Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) / Pasban-e-Ahle Hadis (PAH)
  26. Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE)
  27. Maoist Communist Centre (MCC), all its formations and front organisations
  28. Manipur People's Liberation Front (MPLF)
  29. National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB)
  30. National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT)
  31. People's Liberation Army of Manipur (PLAM).
  32. People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PRPK)
  33. Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI)
  34. Tamil Nadu Liberation Army (TNLA)
  35. Tamil National Retrieval Troops (TNRT)
  36. United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA)
  37. United National Liberation Front (UNLF)
  38. Organisations listed in the Schedule to the United Nation Prevention and Suppression of Terrorism (Implementation of Security Council Resolutions) Order, 2007 made under section 2 of the United Nations (Security Council) Act, 1947 (43 of 1947) and amended from time to time.[4]
